A 28-year-old Amarillo man is jailed on a murder charge in the stabbing death of a fellow Darfur refugee in Dallas. Abdelbakheit Khamis remains in a Dallas County jail Tuesday with bond set at $500,000 in the death of 32-year-old Ahmed Mohammed. Police say Mohammed was stabbed fatally as he slept Monday in his northeast Dallas apartment.
Police Sgt. Ray Beaudreault tells The Dallas Morning news that Khamis mistakenly believed Mohammed was having an affair with Khamis' brother's wife and was responsible for her pregnancy.
