Dallas, TX –

Road and flight conditions are bad and getting worse in north Texas as snow continues to fall. Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing tonight. KERA's Bill Zeeble has more

Dallas police urge extreme caution on all roads, where 28 major and 80 minor accidents have been reported since midnight. Southwest Airlines cancelled 30 flights out of Dallas Love Field today. At DFW Airport, Tim Smith, with American Airlines, says the carrier cancelled 363 flights at last count.

Smith: We're rapidly approaching a record for a 24-hour period.

Smith says more than 6.2 inches have fallen at the airport where the 24 hour February snow record stands at 7.5 inches. Today's snowfall however has set a February 11th record. The old number had been 1.4 inches
