Dallas, TX –

The Woodall Rodgers Deck Park in downtown Dallas will have a walkway, lined with more than 50 trees, thanks to a donation from Chase Bank. It will span the length of the five acre park built over the freeway lanes.

JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon says the "Chase Promenade" is an exciting investment.

Dimon: In New York City, I still run around Central Park. I was in Chicago when we were one of the major donors to help create Millenium Park. And you've created a park almost out of nothing. So, it's an especially beautiful thing because you've created something out of nothing that the people of Dallas will enjoy for many, many years.

Construction of the basic park is to be completed in early 2012. The Promenade and other features will be installed by the end of that year.

The Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation intends to raise another 25 million to complete the park amenities.
