Dallas, TX –
Repairs to a section of the President George Bush Turnpike in Carrollton will take all week. The 100-foot strip along a retaining wall cracked into several jagged segments yesterday.
Sherita Coffelt is with the North Texas Tollway Authority.
Coffelt: It buckled about three feet at westbound President George Bush Turnpike at Kelly Boulevard. The exact cause is still being evaluated, but weather is believed to have played a part in this weekend's shift.
Coffelt says the two right lanes at Kelly Boulevard, and the Frankford westbound entrance ramp are closed until further notice.
That segment of the turnpike opened in 2004.
