Rasmussen Poll Shows Close Governor's Race

Dallas, TX –

A poll released today by the Rasmussen organization says the Texas Republican Primary for Governor is too close to call.

The telephone survey for likely Texas Republican primary voters shows Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison inching ahead of incumbent Rick Perry with 40 percent of the vote to Perry's 38 percent.

Tea Party activist Debra Medina gets 3 peercent. 19% of those surveyed didn't know who they would vote for.

The poll has a margin of error of 3 percent.
