The State Fair of Texas chooses the best of its 2009 FRIED food lineup today.
The Big Tex Choice Awards will be given for "Best Taste" and "Most Creative".
Sue Gooding, with the Fair, says all of them are going to grab attention - especially Fried Butter. She says it's whipped until it's light and fluffy .
Gooding: and then it's sweetened with a variety of flavors. The one I tasted had cherry flavor. And it's a mixture that's surrounded by a special dough and quick fried.
Other Fried Fair Foods featured this year are: Texas Fired Pecan Pie, Sweet Jalapeno Corn Dog Shrimp, and Fired Peanut Butter Cup Macaroon.
Chicken Fried Bacon and Fried Banana Split won later year.
