Longtime Tarrant County D-A Dies

Dallas,TX – Tarrant County District Attorney Tim Curry has died. Records show the longtime D-A died at his home early this morning. He was diagnosed with lung cancer last year.

Curry was first elected in 1972, and went on to lead a staff of 332, with a felony conviction rate in excess of 90%. On the D-A's county website, Mr. Curry expressed satisfaction in creation of specialized units focusing on crimes against children, family violence, gangs, and computer crimes.

Tim Curry was 70.
