Texas Budget Writers Struggle With Hurricane Recovery Costs

Dallas, TX – There's been a lot of talk about how a promised Federal stimulus bill could affect the Texas budget. The bill now in the U.S. Senate could send billions of dollars for everything from road construction to social safety net programs. But as KUT's Ben Philpott reports, state budget writers are also wrestling with another federal check that could save the state billions of dollars.
