Dallas, TX – Tuesday, 181 senators and represenatives will take their seats in the Texas legislature. For the next 140 days, they will be debating hundreds of issues, including the cost of electricity. Laws adopted a decade ago were supposed to bring prices down, but KERA's Shelley Kofler reports many Texans complain they're paying more and that choosing a utility provider is confusing.
Shelley will be in Austin this week to cover the first days of the legislative session. Join her tonight for a half-hour preview of issues before lawmakers. The 2009 Legislative Session, tonight at 6 p.m. on KERA 90.1
