KERA Series: Family Values 2008

North Texas – With Election Day barely two weeks away, KERA is profiling several North Texas families and the issues affecting them this election season. The four-part series ran during the week of October 20-24.

Stories in the series:

Doerges family Tuesday: B.J. Austin talks to the Doerges family, who live near Cedar Creek Lake. Bobby is a long-haul trucker, and Mary is a former HR manager who now home-schools her children, Sarah and David, and has recently taken a job to help pay the bills. The family is concerned about balancing pocketbook issues and education. Both parents have a general mistrust of politicians, and said that will be reflected in their votes on November 4.

Bill talks to the Moses about issues that have led to their election decisions, and to other African-Americans with a different point of view.
