Dallas, TX – Ladies and Gentleman start your fryers. First up, you'll be tasting Fernie's All American Fried Grilled Cheese Sandwich. I don't know what I'm allowed to say or not say, but that was really good.

The next item for tasting is Chicken Fried Bacon. I think I ate almost a whole piece of the bacon. Is that going to be your top vote getter? I think so. Didn't think you could do anything to spice bacon up, but if you're into bacon and you're into fried chicken it's sort of a natural combination. It only makes sense. That's good stuff, perfect. This is the way God intended you to eat bacon, deep fried and slathered in sauce, Yes, Please!

The fourth item for our judges to consider is the Fried Banana Split. It's a combination of sort of explosive flavors. I've not had that together before. What do you mean explosive? Well, you got the peanut butter, banana, whipped creme, you got nuts, you got some sort of caramel or something: just a lot of stuff going on here, in a good way. It was awesome. It's like I've come home to my Mecca: fried food with great people who love frying stuff. It was awesome.

We definitely have staked our claim that for one month out of the year the Great State Fair is the fried food capitol of Texas. (applause)
