Dallas, TX – 38 year old Patrick Waller gained his freedom this morning after entering the Dallas jail in 1992 for aggravated robbery and kidnapping.

Already on parole, he was picked from a lineup before accepting a plea agreement to lighten his sentence. He said he expected no one would believe he was innocent. But late last year, DNA proved it.

Since then, 2 other men have been implicated, including one who confessed, and whose DNA was a positive match. But the statute of limitations has run out, so they won't be prosecuted.

A happy Waller says he wants to catch up with the modern world of cell phones and the internet.
