Dallas, TX – Following previous cuts announced earlier this month, the world's largest carrier is now slicing 42 departures out of DFW, 62 from Chicago, and yet more from St. Louis and New York's LaGuardia airport.
American's Tim Wagner says it's eliminating ALL service in or out of 8 cities, including 2 in California and one to the country of Columbia.
Wagner: What we're trying to do is get down to a supply and demand balance that'll help us survive in a high fuel cost environment.
Wagner says the company will also offer a buy-out plan for workers, before it lays anyone off.
