Dallas, TX – Here's a fact: a number of Dallas schools are crumbling, poorly equipped or too crowded. Here's another fact: questions about board members receiving millions in contracts and delays in releasing an audit have raised questions about how school money is spent. KERA's Shelley Kofler reports voter trust will be an issue Saturday as Dallas decides on 1.35 billion dollars in school improvements.

DISD says the bond package would raise school taxes about $99 a year for the owner of a $200,000 home.
