A Dallas police officer has been fired months after his arrest on a family violence charge. Police say he assaulted a family member and failed to notify supervisors about a protective order.

The Royse City Republican, accused of having an inappropriate relationship with an employee, emerged from a room where a House investigative panel was meeting.
