If you opened the door Monday morning and thought about turning right around, putting on a parka and crawling back under the covers, you weren't alone.
North Texas Twitter was stopped cold by what the National Weather Service says is some of the coldest weather of the season. The grousing about upper-teens and low-20s temperatures started as early as yesterday as denial gave way to impending reality.
Just hang on: Like only Texas can do, it'll go from the 20s to the 70s within the same work week.
I'd rather break a warmth record.

Hey @NWSAnchorage, we found something that belongs to you... At 10 AM, it was 23 degrees @ DFW Airport (KDFW), but it was 25 degrees at the Anchorage Intl. Airport (PANC). Please take the COLD back! #dfwwx #AKwx
