Top Stories: Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price Chimes In On Trump; Finding Ways To Turn Schools Around

The top local stories this afternoon from KERA News: Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price is in Mexico on a trade mission this week, and she’s been getting an earful about Donald Trump. 

Talking to KERA, Price says Mexican officials expressed concerns to her about what could happen if Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, wins the election this fall.

There’s a rating Texas schools do not want: “improvement required.” Under a new state law, schools that have gotten this rating at least two years in-a-row have to come up with a plan that explains how they will get better. Now, schools are trying creative ways in the hopes of turning things around.
