From The Newsroom: Undocumented Kids In North Texas; Safari Club And Gun Rights

The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: Tonya Couch, the mother of the “affluenza” teen was flown in from Los Angeles Thursday. She’s in jail in Fort Worth, and will be arraigned Friday on a charge of hindering the apprehension of a felon.

On Thursday, in Rockwall County, the last immigrant kids left a temporary center where they were brought last month. Hundreds more are already gone from a church camp in Ellis County. Meanwhile, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, picked up 121 other migrants who crossed the border without the proper documents.

More than 50 thousand people from across the globe are streaming into the Dallas Convention Center for the Dallas Safari Club’s annual convention. This is the group that auctioned off a permit to kill a rare African rhino two years ago. Hear what the hunter’s perspective is on the brewing debate.
