From The Newsroom: Fort Worth's New Police Chief Starts Gig; Early Voting Gets Going

The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: In Fort Worth, the new police chief started work Monday. Joel Fitzgerald became the city’s first African-American in that job. KERA got a little background from folks in the other two cities where he served as chief. 

And early voting started today for the November 3 election. School bond packages usually sail through with little opposition. Today, though, a coalition of groups took issue with the $1.6 billion proposal on the ballot in Dallas.
