The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: Lakewood Theater is on its way to becoming an official Dallas landmark.
On Tuesday, before an enthusiastic crowd of more than 100 at City Hall, the Dallas Landmark Commission voted unanimously to grant the theater landmark status.
And when you step back and look at the North Texas housing market as a whole, things are booming. In some neighborhoods, home prices are up 10 to 30 percent this year.
