Dallas, TX – Political pundits aren't favoring presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee to win the Republican nomination, but at a rally in Plano last night, he told supporters he can win in Texas.
Huckabee: "I don't know that any person running for office has ever depended so on a single state as I'm depending on the people of Texas. But I believe this, Texas is a awfully big state. It's gonna make a big noise come March the 4th."
Some 2,500 cheered on Huckabee, even though he trails Sen. John McCain by a significant margin.
In his hour-long speech, Huckabee focused on his tough stance on illegal immigration, creating a constitutional amendment to make abortion illegal and shutting down the Internal Revenue Service and creating a consumer tax.
