The Plano City Council will meet Sunday to discuss the future of member Tom Harrison.

He's drawn criticism for sharing an anti-Islam post on social media. He's apologized, but Mayor Harry LaRosiliere has called for Harrison's resignation. Harrison's supporters say the council member does not plan to step down.

  • "Considering Matthew Shepard" is a song cycle about the Wyoming college student whose brutal death 20 years ago touched off a national discussion of homophobia and led to the passage of the federal hate crime law. In State of the Arts, KERA's Anne Bothwell sits down with Craig Hella Johnson, creator of the work. “Considering Matthew Shepard” will be performed Feb. 21 at Moody Performance Hall in Dallas.
