Tiananmen Papers

Liane talks with NPR's Rob Gifford in Beijing about the publication in the U.S. of The Tiananmen Papers, which gives insight into the inner workings of China's senior leaders during the spring of 1989. Protests on the streets of Beijing led to the showdown in Tiananmen Square, and the bloody crackdown by the Chinese government.
