Transition: Internal Spin

All Things Considered has asked a number of people what might lie ahead for the eventual winner of the 2000 presidential election, and for the country. Commentator Drew Westen says his research on President Clinton's impeachment indicates both the eventual outcome, and the public response to it, will be influenced by people's "internal spin." He says people tend unconsciously to twist the facts into emotionally satisfying conclusions.
