North Texas will be getting a dose of winter starting today — and that even means a chance of snow.

After highs today around 70, the National Weather Service is saying a cold front moving into the area will drop the temperatures by 10 degrees in a matter of minutes for the Dallas-Fort Worth area between 1 and 3 p.m. Temperatures will continue to fall, ultimately landing in the 30s overnight.

More than that, the service is calling for rain and snow mix for the area Tuesday morning. Little to no accumulation is expected, except for a few localized spots. Travel should not be interrupted, either.

More pleasant weather will round out the week, with a slow warmup expected by this weekend.
