The top stories this afternoon from KERA News: Texas A&M announced Wednesday that a student is no longer enrolled at the university following a racial incident. Last month Dallas high school students were taunted with slurs when they visited College Station.

Overdoses from heroin and opioid painkillers are a leading cause of accidental deaths in the U.S. A drug Narcan, also known as naloxone helps reverse the effects of an overdose. Texas is one of the most recent, and among the last, states to approve its distribution.  A North Texas nurse says it’s not easy to track down in Texas.

Other stories this evening:

  • The Supreme Court appeared sharply divided over Texas abortion clinic regulations on Wednesday. The case is a challenge to HB 2, the controversial Texas abortion law.
  • Texas Senator Ted Cruz had a big celebration in Houston after winning three states in the Super Tuesday primary. The 99 delegates he earned in Texas give him a boost as he hopes to move ahead of rival Donald Trump.
