Midnight Mammogram Marathon, And Other Women’s Health Events In North Texas

The Affordable Care Act will provide new insurance options and access to preventative health for women.

Who says you can’t have fun and a get a mammogram? This week is National Women’s Health Week, and you can celebrate here in North Texas a few ways:

Midnight Mammo Marathon: Free health screenings and mammograms available until midnight (Monday May 12th). Also refreshments, brow waxing, manicures and massage. Location: WomensLink Diagnostic Center at 1600 Coit Road, Suite 109: 214-473-7317.

Healthy Happy Hour & Tech Talk: The New Women’s Center and a Spirited Women presentation will focus on new gadgets and apps designed to keep women healthy. Lauren Silverman was the Health, Science & Technology reporter/blogger at KERA News. She was also the primary backup host for KERA’s Think and the statewide newsmagazine  Texas Standard.
