The Dallas school district is offering free meals to students during the winter break.

Students 18 years and under and students with special needs up to age 21 are eligible for meals during their vacation. Meals, including a morning snack from 8 to 9 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to noon, will be served today and then Tuesday, Jan. 2 through Friday, Jan. 5.

Along with meals, schools will also hold extracurricular and sports activities for students to keep them engaged in fun and safe activities during their break.
