DISD Board Meets For First Time Since Three Cabinet-Level People Left

At their first meeting since three top DISD leaders quit their posts, Dallas school trustees could discuss the future and possible elimination of the superintendent’s Leadership Academy.

Created last year by Mike Miles, the $4 to $5 million district school trains future principals and other leaders.

Critics question the high price. Proponents say it needs more time to be fairly tested.

Trustees are also scheduled to discuss and adopt next year’s DISD budget of more than $1.2 billion.
