Texas Senator John Cornyn's office expects the US Senate, like the House, to override the President's veto of important funding for water projects. The bill includes some $298 million for flood control in the Dallas Trinity River Corridor. Dallas Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson played a key role in authoring the bill, and yesterday led the House battle.
