Dallas, TX – A new, 9.6 mile extension of the Dallas North Tollway will open this Friday in time for the evening commute.
The current 22-mile tollway extends from Wycliff in downtown Dallas to just north of State Highway 121. Now it will almost reach State Highway 380.
Sam Lopez of the North Texas Tollway Authority says the Northbound lanes will open around 4:00pm Friday. Southbound lanes will be closed until remaining barriers can be removed. It will probably open later that evening.
The cost for the trip from downtown Dallas to the new Northern-most exit will be $3.05 if you use a toll tag. It will cost $4.05 if you pay cash.
