North Texas Toll Rates Going Up

Dallas, TX –
The cost of traveling on two North Texas Toll roads will go up September 29.

Rates vary, but in general, drivers with electronic toll tags will pay 70-cents instead of 60-cents at the main toll plazas for the Dallas North Tollway and the President George Bush Turnpike. If you pay with cash, the fee will increase from 75-cents to one dollar.

Rates for the Mountain Creek Lake Bridge and the Addison Airport Toll Tunnel will remain unchanged.

Down the road drivers can expect additional toll increases. When the new State Highway 121 opens in three years, drivers will pay 14-cents a mile and that cost will increase every two years.

The North Texas Tollway Authority says next month's price hike is needed to offset inflation and pay for the repair and expansion of the area toll system.
