Dallas, TX – On Thursday, federal investigators sifted through charred rubble at the site of a downtown Dallas chemical fire.
Explosions at Southwest Industrial Gases closed down major highway interchanges yesterday, filled the skies with thick black smoke and catapulted metal canisters and shrapnel into the air.
Three people were hurt, but Dallas Fire Marshall Debra Carlin says the outcome could have been worse. She tells KERA's Shelley Kofler the incident will prompt a city discussion about where businesses using dangerous materials should be located.
