Dallas, TX –

Voters in Dallas on June 16th will settle a runoff for mayor and 4-others for seats on the City Council. 90.1 last week told you about the runoff in District 5 between Betty Culbreath and Vonciel Jones-Hill. This morning, we examine the remaining runoffs for the District 3 seat held by mayoral runoff candidate Ed Oakley and Districts 7 and 8 represented by outgoing council members Leo Chaney and James Fantroy. Neither Dallas Examiner Managing Editor Gordon Jackson nor Oak Cliff Tribune editor Allison Pless sees a high degree of voter enthusiasm or much difference between the candidates, but they told 90.1's Sam Baker each contest has its interesting points, starting with the District-3 runoff to succeed Oakley.
