Farmers Branch, TX – The lopsided victory set a turnout record in Farmers Branch. By nearly the same numbers, Tim Scott and David Koch won council seats after backing the ordinance. Scott said voters sent a few messages.
Scott: First we're not as divided a city as people wanted to make us out to be. I think it sends to D.C. they're a bit out of touch with what rank and file citizens want in terms of illegal immigration enforcement.
Ordinance opponents are expected to seek a restraining order that'll stop 2903 from going into effect May 22nd. For KERA 90.1 I'm Bill Zeeble
