Dallas, TX – Shook was praised by leaders of the Dallas, Mesquite and Irving Police Associations, who represent thousands of officers. John Mitchell, president of the Irving Association, called the assistant D.A. a bulldog on crime, notably in prosecuting the Texas 7, escaped inmates who killed an Irving officer after robbing guns from a store 5 years ago.
Mitchell: With Toby, if Law enforcement is the 1st 3 hitters in the lineup, he's the clean up hitter. If he were a clean up hitter in baseball, he'd be a hall-of-famer as far as a prosecutor goes.
Shook faces 2 Republican judges in the March 7th Dallas D.A. primary. For KERA 90.1 I'm Bill Zeeble
