Patterson Campaign Promises No Hot-Dogging By Candidate

By J. Lyn Carl, GalleryWatch.com

Austin, TX –

Gov. Rick Perry is expected to announce a special session.

U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison surprises everyone by announcing she will not seek the keys to the Governor's Mansion but will instead seek re-election to her U.S. Senate seat.

State Comptroller Carole Keeton Strayhorn is expected to announce she will run for governor against Perry when she dishes up hot dogs and soft drinks in a street rally near the capitol.

It's been a case of one Republican stealing another's thunder all weekend.

But Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson got the last laugh - literally.

In a media advisory citing Thursday, June 23, as the day he will kick off his campaign for re-election as Land Commissioner, the Patterson campaign noted the who, what, when, where and why essential in all press releases.

But his media advisory had a little tongue-in-cheek jab at fellow Republican Strayhorn.

Following the "who, what, when, where and why" on the advisory was something new...the five "Ws" commonly known to journalists are now "Five Ws and an F."

The advisory reads:
Food:
No hot dogs will be served.
