New EPA Administrator Visits North Texas
Dallas, TX –
Stephen Johnson, the new federal administrator for the EPA, has been visiting regional offices around the country to communicate his vision for the agency. He did that yesterday in Dallas. Johnson is President Bush's third EPA administrator, but he's also the first scientist to ever lead the agency. He told 90.1's Marla Crockett that his goal is to accelerate the pace of environmental protection while maintaining economic competitiveness. And that applies to North Texas, which is under federal orders to comply with the Clean Air Act by 2010.
