Dallas, TX –
KERA reporter/announcer: Republican Pete Sessions soundly defeated Martin Frost with a lead of 54 to 44% in the bitterly contested 32nd U.S. Congressional District. Sessions promised to work as a conservative Republican on behalf of North Texans.
Pete Sessions: What we're going to do is go to Washington, and we're going to keep cutting taxes. We're going to keep growing our economy.
KERA reporter/announcer: Sessions' win ended the 13-term career of Democratic Congressman Martin Frost.
Martin Frost: The campaign we put together in this district in this year against all odds, I believe, will set an example for future Democrats who want to run in Dallas County and who want to run in the state of Texas.
