On this edition of In Black America, producer/host John L. Hanson Jr. speaks with J.C. Watts, co-founder and chairman of the  Black News Channel, and Gray Wordlaw, its vice president of news and programming. 

Scheduled to launch on Feb. 10, 2020, the Black News Channel is an independent network that is minority owned and operated, and will be the nation’s only provider of 24/7 cable news programming dedicated to covering the unique perspective of African American communities.

Watts and Wordlaw talk about the importance of the network, how it will be different from other networks, hiring staff, how the audience can assist with programming, and closing the image gap.
