Finding Heroes of Texas Music 'All Over The Map'

Based on music writer Michael Corcoran's interviews with hitmakers across the state, the latest edition of " All Over The Map" highlights the heroes of Texas music, both on the stage and behind the scenes.

With over 30 years of research on a range of genres from blues and country to hip-hop and Conjunto, Corcoran puts together portraits of iconic artists in relation to the parts of Texas each musician calls home.

Raised in San Antonio, Jan Ross is a graduate of UT Austin’s School of Journalism. Before starting at Texas Public Radio, she interned for the News Desk at NPR Headquarters and the network’s mid-day program, Here & Now.
