In today’s All Things Considered local block from the KERA Newsroom:

Fort Worth veterinarian Lou Tierce was at a hearing in Austin after facing animal cruelty charges last month. Doualy Xaykaothao follows a group of high-schoolers competing in the “Super Bowl” of high school jazz competitions. Also, Eric Aasen shares a bit of little-known Texas history: the story behind some of the state’s strangest town names. And Bonnie & Clyde may have been a bust on Broadway, but WaterTower Theatre will revive the musical for its fall season.

You can listen to the segment weekdays at 8:20 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. on KERA 90.1 FM.

Former KERA staffer Krystina Martinez was an assistant producer. She produced local content for Morning Edition and KERANews.org. She also produced The Friday Conversation, a weekly series of conversations with North Texas newsmakers. Krystina was also the backup newscaster for the Texas Standard.
