Arlington Police Chief To Work Christmas, Giving An Officer The Holiday Off

Arlington Police Department
The winning words from Arlington PD's holiday photo caption contest? “No jelly in the donuts? Looks like it’s burglar for lunch again.”";s:3:

Consider it a perfect Christmas gift for a cop.

The Arlington police chief will be working Christmas Day, giving an officer a well-deserved day off.

Chief Will D. Johnson recently announced a holiday photo caption contest for evening shift officers. Officers wrote a caption to accompany a silly posed photograph, which included K9 Mojo standing near several boxes of doughnuts (of course) and a would-be burglar running off with an old television.

Johnson’s two daughters went through the submitted captions and chose a winner.

The winner, East Patrol Officer Brandon Evans, gets Christmas off while the police chief will report for duty at 2 p.m.

The winning caption?

“No jelly in the donuts? Looks like it’s burglar for lunch again.”
