Dallas, TX – Schools closed for Spring break are back in session this morning. KERA's Bill Zeeble reports that means changes for children and adults.

For most students, there's no more sleeping late. Officials also say it's time again slow down and follow other rules in active school zones.

In Fort Worth, employees have until Wednesday to let the district know if they want to take the $5000 resignation package. Tomorrow, trustees will pick a site to house the school for pregnant and student parents. On Thursday, Dallas School Board members meet for more detailed talks about possible layoffs forced by the state's budget shortfall.

Districts won't know how much state money they'll get until the legislature approves a budget.
