Dallas, TX –
Gasoline prices are well above three dollars a gallon statewide.
Dan Ronan, with AAA-Texas, says the price of a gallon of gas went up about three cents EVERY DAY this past week.
Ronan: It's been a tough week. We've seen gas prices in the state of Texas jump 22 cents in one week. We're well ahead of the pace that we were in 2008 when gas prices hit four dollars a gallon. The average Texas price right now is $3.30 a gallon.
It's about three cents higher in Dallas and Fort Worth.
Ronan says the unrest in the Middle East, especially in Libya is driving up the price of oil, and that boost the price at the pump.
Motorists in all 50 states are now paying more than three dollars a gallon.
