It's election day tomorrow with ballot items ranging from statewide constitutional amendments to local school board elections. KERA's Bill Zeeble has more
Texas Voters will decide on 11 constitutional amendments, among them funding for more national research universities, and giving the state the authority to help pay for or contribute land for a Veterans hospital. Dallas is holding 3 different school board elections. Sunnyvale, Desoto and other communities will vote on legalizing the sale of beer and wine.
Turnout is expected to be extremely low - anywhere from 3 to as much as 7 percent, depending on the particular race, according to Dallas and Tarrant county election officials. Polls open at 7 in the morning and close at 7 pm.
