Dallas, TX –
Jury deliberations have begun in the lengthy bribery and extortion trial of former Dallas City Councilman Don Hill and four associates.
The panel is composed of six Whites, 2 Hispanics and 4 African American jurors. All of the defendants are African-American.
The alternate juror will report to the courthouse each day, but sit in the Judge's office, just in case.
Jurors must consider each charge against each defendant in the 30-count indictment. They'll have a short day Thursday, break for two days, and resume deliberations Tuesday.
