Dallas, TX – Dallas and Fort Worth still trail most of the nation in digital readiness. But the numbers have improved since the country's June 12th conversion from analog to digital tv. KERA's Bill Zeeble has more.

It's been nearly 2 weeks since the national conversion to all digital television. In its 2nd survey since the switch, Nielsen Media reports a little more than 2 million American house holds still cannot receive those digital signals.

That's an improvement of some 400 thousand homes. Locally, Nielsen says the number of Dallas/Fort Worth homes that cannot receive digital signals are still 3 times higher than the national average. But that number also represents a significant improvement since the June 12th conversion.
