Dallas, TX – About 15 minutes before Hillary Clinton was set to address the Convention, the doorways into the arena were blocked. Delegates and journalists who weren't in their seats were forced to watch the speech on televisions in the hallway. South Texas Clinton delegate Juan Maldonado was one of them.
Maldonado: "Usually when Obama speaks or when somebody like that will speak, the President, then you get so many visitors coming in, and then they have this kind of problem, but today I didn't realize with Hillary speaking - it's full."
There were some mutters in the hallway that this was another slight toward Clinton supporters, but Maldonado says it isn't personal.
Maldonado: "I had to meet my cousin and I can't get back in, but the fire marshal declared too many people on the floor and that's acceptable, you have to understand those are rules."
Clinton delegate Katy Hubener of Dallas was able to see Clinton's speech on the Convention floor.
Hubener: "She's fabulous, and I think we have, as a whole, a mix of emotions. We love her, we want her to be President, we love her in the Senate, we love him, we want the Democrats to win. She's right, we've got to have a change in this country and John McCain is more of the same and we do want to see something new."
Many of the Texas contingent agreed with Hubener. There are some die hard Clinton supporters who are still withholding judgment. Clinton is set to release her delegates to Obama today.
