The top local stories this morning from KERA News: The estranged wife of classical pianist VadymKholodenko today will be formally charged with capital murder in the deaths of their two daughters.
Kholodenko discovered Sofia Tsygankova with knife wounds last week at the home in Benbrook she shared with her daughters.
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Tsygankova’s arrest warrant indicates the children may have been smothered with pillows and that she also tried several methods to kill herself.
Her lawyer said Tsygankova says she plans to plead "not guilty."
